As a Car Infotainment Application Engineering Team Lead at 42dot, your main duty is to lead a team that develops, and maintains applications for In-Vehicle Infotainment systems (IVI), specifically focusing on creating innovative IVI applications for Android Automotive OS (AAOS). These applications, along with the entire IVI system, are integral components of the advanced 42dot Software Defined Vehicle OS ecosystem.

Your role is pivotal in shaping the future of automotive technology at 42dot, where you'll leverage your expertise and passion to drive impactful innovations in car infotainment systems and bring your energy to work together with the team and deliver the best solutions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop, and maintain modern applications for 42dot IVI system (hands-on role)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into IVI applications

• Provide technical guidance and support to other application engineers

• Lead the team of ~8 engineers - support, mentor, provide technical guidance, manage assignments.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent practical experience

• 5+ years of experience in Android development

• 2+ years of experience as Engineering Team Leader

• Proficiency in Kotlin

• Comprehensive understanding of the Android platform

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team

• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in automotive products and in-vehicle infotainment domain

• Knowledge of Android Automotive Operating System (AAOS)

• Proficiency in utilizing modern Android libraries, frameworks, and tools

• Working experience with multi-site, multi-national and multi-contributor teams.
